In 1949 and 1950, Thomas was a salesman for Fred Gaskins Motors. They lived at 1115 1/2 Cottage Avenue in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Thomas and Eddress had no children. Eddress' obituary reads, "MRS. EDDRESS MADDEN. Mrs. Eddress Madden, 51, 1823 Griswold Drive, was found dead in her apartment about 8:45 a.m. yesterday. She was born in Fort Wayne and employed as a bookkeeper for Berstine Brother Co. She was a member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Ninette Myers and Mrs. Celeste Swinehart, and a brother, Eugene Gladieux, all of Fort Wayne. Friends may call at the Mungovan & Sons Mortuary after 7 p.m. today. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the mortuary and at 10 in the Cathedral, the Rt. Rev. John A. Dapp officiating. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery." Barr St., will be held at 8:30 a.m. Saturday in the Mungovan & Sons Mortuary, and 9 in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, the Rt. Rev. Msgr. D. L. Monahan officiating. A retired automobile salesman, Mr. Madden died at 7:30 a.m. yesterday in Mongo. He was the son of Patrick and Mary Collins Madden. Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Celeste Monahan, Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery and friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today."
