Frank and Sarah were married by Rev. P. F. Veniard. Their witnesses were Celestinus Gladieux and Emilius Ternet. In 1903, Frank was a clerk at Epstein & Company and lived at 542 Holman Street in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was a clothing salesman and also a Deputy Sheriff. Sarah's obituary reads, "MRS. GLADIEUX, 70 DIES SATURDAY. Mrs. Mary Louise Gladieux, 70, of 119 West Wildwood avenue, died at 1:40 o'clock yesterday afternoon at her home following an illness of 10 months' duration. She was born in Besancon and lived in Fort Wayne the greater part of her life. Mrs. Gladieux is survived by her husband, Francis C. Gladieux; four daughters, Mrs. Ninette Myers, Mrs. Winifred Sheibley, Mrs. Celeste Swinehart, all of Fort Wayne, and Miss Eddress Gladieux at home; two sons, Eugene and Clarence of this city; one sister, Mrs. Ellen Townsend of New Haven; one brother, Charles Ternet of Fort Wayne; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The body was removed to the Ternet & Schlib funeral home at New Haven and will be returned to the residence at 1:30 o'clock this afternoon after which time friends may view the body. Funeral services will be held at 8:45 o'clock Tuesday morning at the residence and at 9 o'clock at the St. Patrick's church, Rev. Joseph C. Adler officiating. Burial will be in the Catholic cemetery." [Fort Wayne Journal Gazette, Sunday 13 Feb 1938, pg. 6] Frank's obituary reads, "Funeral services for Francis Gladieux, 76, of 327 East State boulevard, who died at 6:05 o'clock Friday morning at St. Joseph's hospital, will be held Monday morning at 8:30 o'clock at Mungovan & Sons' mortuary, and 9 o'clock at St. Jude's Catholic church, Rev. John A. Dapp officiating. Burial will be in the Catholic cemetery. Friends may view the body at the mortuary after 4 o'clock this afternoon. Mr. Gladieux was taken to the hospital 11 days ago after suffering a paralytic stroke. A native of Zulu, he resided here most of his life. He was a retired cloting salesman. His wife, Mrs. Louise Gladieux, died five years ago. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Arthur H. Myers, Mrs. Thomas Madden, Mrs. Harold Swinehart of this city and Mrs. Larry Sheidley of Van Wert, O.; two sons, Clarence and Eugene Gladieux of this city; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren."
