Newspaper Extract: An Elderly Couple Celebrate - Mr and Mrs Thomas W Kerslake of Black Forest, South Australia, who formerly lived in Launceston, recently celebrated at their home their 83rd and 82nd birthdays respectively, when a number of friends and relatives were present to give them greetings. A two tier cake made and decorated by their daughter (Middie) Mrs K Broomhall, was placed in a prominent place on the party table, and made a brilliant picture, when its 83 candles were lit. At another celebration, held about 18 months ago, Mr and Mrs Kerslake honoured their diamond wedding jubilee. Among those present at the recent birthday party were: Mr and Mrs Ernest Piper (their daughter Jessie), Mr and Mrs Mervyn Kerslake, Mrs Nellie Redfern, Mr and Mrs K Broomhall, Mr and Mrs L Sampson (their daughter Esell), Mr and Mrs Abell (their daughter Ida) and a number of grandchildren.
