  1.   According to Source:Davis, Walter Goodwin. Ancestry of Joseph Neal, p. 91, the estate of son Eleazer, who d. intestate in 1676, was split between Thomas and Samuel, only. This suggests those three were children of one unknown wife, while the other three: Increase, Prudence and Elizabeth, are "with strong probability" children of a second unknown wife. This is in addition to the two children of last wife Abigail Clapp: John and Abigail.
