Thomas Baily was born December 25, 1823 in Maryland and on December 11, 1846 he married Sarah Gaylor who was born July 6, 1831. She passed away December 22, 1895 and was laid to rest in Old Town Cemetery at Hillsboro. On July 27, 1897 he married Lockey Wright, who was born in 1844 and passed away in 1933 and was laid to rest in Waynetown Cemetery. He and Sarah were the parents of eight children:

a. Cassinda Baily, born in 1842 according to the 1850 census but did not appear in the 1860. Evidently she must have died at an early age, no further information on her.

b. Salina Baily was born in January 1851 and on March 18, 1866 in Fountain Co. she married David Wilt I have no dates on these two or their burial sites. They could be in old Town at Hillsboro but I don't have a copy of that Cemetery to check it out, but according to census records there were seven children:
i. Elvia F.Wilt, born in 1867.
ii. John A. Wilt, born in 1869.
iii. Ottie Wilt, born 1874.
iv. Harry Wilt, born in 1877 and passed away in 1937 and was laid to rest in Rose Hill Cemetery.
v. William Wilt,born in December 1879.
vi. Kate S. Wilt, born in February 1882.
vii. Susie M. Wilt, born in May 1884.

c. Frances A. Baily, born in January 1851 in Indiana and on August 19, 1871 she married Frank Holmes. They had seven children in the 1900 census:
i. Fred W. Holmes, born in May 1879.
ii. Clyde R. Holmes, born in November 1882 and married Emma Jane (?) born in 1872 and passed away in 1957. He passed away in 1969 and they both were laid to rest in Rose Hill Cemetery at Hillsboro.
iii. Franklin P. Holmes, born in November 1883.
iv. Rosa F. Holmes, born in March 1884.
v. Goldie H. Holmes was born, again, according to census records in March of 1889.
vi. Russell Holmes was born in October 1892.
vii. There was one other child: Charles Guy Holmes was born, according to census records in November 1886, but on his Cemetery marker he was born October 19, 1892. The cemetery record is most probably the right date and either the dates were transposed in the census or these last two children were very likely twins, however I found no cemetery record on Russell but Charles Guy was buried in Rose Hill Cemetery at Hillsboro. Also according to his stone he was a cook and in QMC in World War I.

d. Rosilla Baily was born in 1856 according to census records and on November 5, 1878 she married Joseph W. Hayes who was born in 1852 and passed away in 1920.. She passed away in 1915 and they were laid to rest in Rose Hill. They were the parents of one child:
i. Effie Hayes was born in 1880 and married Thomas Taylor, born in 1877 and passed away 1976. Effie passed away in 1915 and they were laid to rest in Rose Hill also. They also had one daughter:
1. Josephine Taylor, no further information.

e. Kessiah Baily was born in 1858 and on December 29, 1880 she married Wm. F. Bromley. I have no other information other than that I ran across information on one son:
i. Albert Bromley and the only information on him was a notice of his death in a church paper which was July 1, 1969.

f. Franklin P. Baily was born in April 1859 and married Carrie Tucker who was born in September 1861. He passed away in 1943 and she in 1932 and both were laid to rest in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. They has two daughters:
i. Betty Baily, born January 30, 1896 and passed away in 1973.
ii. Beatrice Baily was born in December 1893 and married Earl Knox. I have no information on their deaths, but I feel safe in assuming that they may be buried in Waynetown with their parents. If not, probably Rose Hill. as they lived in that vicinity most all their lives.

g. Thomas L. Baily was born in 1861 and on May 10, 1882 he married Mina Wills. They were divorced. He must have married again as buried with him in Rose Hill is Anna B. who passed away March 15, 1918 at the age of 24 years 8 months. This could have been a mistake as she would have been much younger than her ar it could possibly be a daughter. It would take more research to find out which and I don't have time for it at this time.

h. William Baily was born January 22, 1865 and on November 18, 1886, married Annie Bruner and I found another marriage record for William to Margaret Ann (Annie) Baily, it is possible that they may have been divorced and remarried on May 10, 1890. They had one daughter that I know of. He passed away July 12, 1949. Their daughter was:
i. Elsie Baily, born July 16, 1887 in Fountain Co. and on May 25, 1906 she married Forrest G. Templeton. She passed away March 13, 1967 and was laid to rest in Rose Hill Cemetery. They were the parents of six children.
