The proof of marriage is a Brunswick Co., VA marriage bond dated 27 Nov 1828 for Sterling Dugger and Frances Parish. Isaac House was bondsman. They were married by Littlberry Orgain.

Children

Six children (Rosa, Mary, Margaret, Martha Jane, Sterling and Henry) are proven (more or less) by the 1850 census as they were living with Frances. A seventh (Sarah) was head of the same household, and is probably also Sterling and Frances' child. An eighth child (Rebecca) married in 1848 and Sterling Dugger was her bondsman. That doesn't prove he was her father, but strongly suggests it.
