It is unclear what the relationship was between the Fackrells and Anna LaVerna (Burnett) Hoopes (also known, at least briefly, as Pearl Fackrell). Anna was clearly not their biological daughter (see the Fackrells in the 1900 census[2] and Anna's obituary at Find A Grave). However, she was apparently mentioned in Seymour's obituary (probably as Pearl Hoopes). It appears that she was in the 1910 census both with her biological parents (as Annie Burnett, age 16)[4] and with the Fackrells (as Pearl Fackrell, age 15)[3]. In the latter record, the Fackrells claimed she was their daughter - no suggestion of adoption (as with Oswald) or fostering.

It appears that the Fackrells finally had a biological child of their own (Margaret Elsie) when Priscilla was 31 years old. Margaret's birth wasn't registered until 1940, and the birth certificate says she was the first and only child of the mother.
