[Note: this rendition of an original manuscript written by Samuel Willis is said to be "summarized and condensed" (p. 280), meaning we cannot tell if this represents the actual form of the date in the original or not. The Friends Records in NYGBR don't seem to include this marriage, so nothing to check it against. This source makes an obvious date error on p. 274 that on "1st of 1st mo. Anno 1729" they had been "four months married". The first month would have been March, and this would only be so if the marriage was in the 8th month, October, not August. Thus, one suspects the original manuscript did use the numeric 8th month and this source misinterpreted it, just as it misinterpreted Mary's birth in the twelfth month to be December, when the 12th month was actually February.]
