    Hempstead, Queens, New York.

    Samuel Seaman
    - 1 white male 10-15 (possibly Elijah)
    - 3 white males 16-25 (possibly Tredwell, John and another)
    - 1 white male 45 and over (Samuel)
    - 1 white female 10-15 (possibly Phebe)
    - 1 white female 16-25 (possibly Mary)
    - 1 white female 26-44 (Samuel's wife)

This might or might not be the correct family - there are other Samuel Seamans in Hempstead in this census - but it appears to be the best fit for the ages of the parents and the approximate ages of the known children.

  4. United States. 1850 U.S. Census Population Schedule. (National Archives Microfilm Publication M432)
    Hempstead, Queens, New York.

    Samuel Seaman, age 88, farmer
    Mary Townsend, age 55
    Phebe Smith, age 50
Elijah Seaman, age 48, no occupation
    Phebe A Leister, age 14
    Benjamin Smith, age 21
    Chancy Smith, age 16, labourer
    all born in New York

The ages of Samuel's daughters may have been rounded (and Elijah's age adjusted accordingly) - they do not completely agree with the ages of his children in the 1810 census, assuming that the correct record has been found in the 1810 census. If Mary was truly 55 in 1850, she would have been 15 when married.
