↑Bond, p. 301, creates a fictitious daughter Anna to marry John Stratton and assumes Mercy died young. The probate of the father shows John Stratton's wife was Mercy. Bond's John Stratton 19-3, the alleged husband, is shown on p. 593 with a wife Bethshuah Applin who "adm. his estate" in 1708 before any of Samuel's children would have been old enough to marry. His John Stratton 44 (p. 594) is shown with a wife Mercy, no maiden name given.
