Samuel Cooke and his surviving son by this marriage, see New Eng. Hist, and Gen. Register, vol. 63, p. 195. Since this record calls Elizabeth Platt his '4th wife' we must assume that between 1723 and 1727 he had contracted a third marriage and that, despite printed accounts, he had five instead of four wives in all.)"
