Bond and Howe agree on 10 known children. Howe stating Martha and Mercy refer to the same daughter, "this is supposed to be the Martha who was recorded as b. April 4, 1686, and she is said to have been born in 1686, that is thought to have been a mistake in the record." Samuel's will names: "... sons John, Samuel, Thomas, and Isaac; daughters Mercy Garfield, Abigail Cutler, and Deliverance Stearns; sons-in-law Thomas Reed, Josiah Howe, and Daniel Warren; grandchildren David Bruce, Nathaniel Read, Isaac Read, Thomas Read, Catherine Read. Phineas Howe, Abraham Howe, Rachel Howe, Samuel Warren, Daniel Warren, and Hannah Warren."S3
