Mary May REED met Ross GERLACH later in life. Mary May told Ross that she was 63 years old when she was really 75 years old (according to family lore). Ross GERLACH had never been married and was a wholesale grocer in Elmira when they met. Her first husband, George EMERY, never divorced her so she still married to George when she married Ross.
