Robert and Cordelia Jones came to Lubbock when they married. They lived on a farm southeast of the city. One child, Joyce Marie, died as an infant. Cordelia Jones died Dec. 7, 1975 and is buried in Lubbock. R.E. Jones, Sr. enjoyed hunting dove and quail.
