    He was married first to Susan Olivia Hense on Dec. 15, 1883. She was the daughter of Amanda Bolling and Peter Hense. Susan had been born July 11, 1839 and died Apr. 21, 1897. She is said to have been the first person buried in the New Hope South Cemetery.

    Three children were born to Robert and Susan Davison. The first child Daisy Davison, born Dec. 5, 1883 in Chattooga County. She died Feb. 26, 1966 in Cherokee County, Ala. Daisy married Summers Vance Bell on May 12, 1914 in Rome, Ga. Daisy was a school teacher for many years.

    Frances Lucinda (Fannilu) was the second child of Susan and Robert J. Davison. She was born March 3, 1888 in Chattooga County and died Feb. 14, 1985. She taught school for a number of years and married Fletcher Westbrook of Gaylesville, Ala. There were no children from this marriage.

    The third child of Susan and Robert J. Davison was John Turner Davison. He was born Nov. 24, 1895 and died Jan. 12, 1961. John married Belle Hicks and they had two children: Robert Leon and William Turner Davison. John is buried in the New Hope South Cemetery.
