Comment

All three sources (Embry-Overton-Meadors-Hanks Family Tree, Victor Meador, and Virginia Marriages) are derivative. The work of simstn1 (Embry-Overton-Meadors-Hanks Family Tree) and Victor Meador is based on reference to original sources, seems to be well founded, and is independently consistent. The index of Virginia Marriages appears to be flawed, a not uncommon occurrence with Ancestry.com indexes. Unfortunately, it is the source most often cited.
