- ↑ This page may be a figment of the Internet's collective imagination? I merely edited the marriage date away from 1701 which was an impossible marriage date given the birth and death dates. I made a hurried attempt to locate a serious source that mentioned this marriage and did not find one. I found one website that at least realized 1701 wasn't right, and said 1604, but caveat emptor, it also listed about 10 marriages for Richard Cornell, so it was clearly collecting every variation it found in any Ancestry Public Tree. Richard's will is abstracted in NEHGR Vol. 53, p. 433, where it mentions a wife Mary, so it is not even clear if this marriage is real, or the result of confusion with the 1701 marriage of the New England Richard Cornell.
