    Ralph Gienow

    GIENOW - Ralph of Lumsden and District Heritage Home passed away August31, 2003 at the age of 91 years. Predeceased by his daughter Jeanie, his parents, seven brothers and three sisters. He leaves to mourn his wife Dorothy of 62 years, sons Ralph (Annette) and Doug (Dianne), daughter Nancy, 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, numerous nieces,nephews and friends. Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September5, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. from Craven Community Hall. Rev. Jamie Bushell officiating. Interment at Craven Cemetery.

    DRAKE - The Morrison Street United Church, Niagara Falls, was the scene of a pretty wedding Aug. 9 when Anne Dorothy, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Martin, Drake, became the bride of Ralph Alfred Gienow, son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Gienow, Balgonie. Rev. James Robinson, Leavan,Sask., officiated and Miss Isobel Robinson played the wedding music.

    The bride was attired in dusky rose sheer with blue accessories. Her corsage was of yellow roses and blue cornflower. She was attended by Miss Mabel Anderson of Winnipeg who wore a heaven blue crepe dress with black accessories and corsage of pink roses. Edwin Charles Gienow,brother of the groom was best man.

    The reception was held the King Edward hotel, the bride's table centereed with a tiered cake and decorated with white asters and hydrangea. The young couple will reside at 1366 Bridge street, Niagara Falls. Wedding guests included: Rev. and Mrs. Robinson, Lewvan; Miss Isobel Robinson, Lloydminster; Miss Myrtle Martin, Merlin, Ont.; Mrs. A.Campbell, Alvin Patterson and Al. Elliot, Niagara Falls.
