[The gap in time of over a year, suggests that one record has the wrong year. Since the publishment appears in the middle of several other publishments from 1734, all chronologically ordered, it would appear to be in the order recorded. The marriage, on the other hand, is recorded following others from 1742 and 1743. This would imply the recording was actually done after the death of the father Peter, who presided over his son's marriage. Thus, it seems likely that the marriage was actually in 1734. This is confirmed by the birth of their first child, Josiah, on 25 Jul 1735 (per Source:Yarmouth, Barnstable, Massachusetts, United States. Vital Records of Yarmouth, Massachusetts, to the Year 1850, p. 72), which places the marriage in 1734 or before.]
