The Henritze family lived in District 12, Knox, Tennessee. Peter B. Henritze, 25, born in Virginia, (parents from Ireland), a Brakeman on the rail road, lived with his wife, children, parents and a brother and sister. His parents were Samuel Henritze, 53 born in Virginia (his parents also) and Cathrine, 47 also born in Virginia, as were her parents. Peter's brother and sister were William, 14 and Laura O. Henritze, 18. Peter and his wife Bridgett, 28, keeping house, lived there with their children Charles, 2 and Robert, 1.

Bridget, Aug 1852, aged 47, and Pete B, Apr 1852, aged 48 lived with their 7 children, all born in Tennessee, a daughter-in-law and grand-daughter in Knoxville Ward 7 in Knox County, Tennessee. Although County records say they married in 1877, the census says 1875. Bridget is shown as an engineer, but this was more likely to be Pete. In fact, many of the dates seem to be mixed up compared to baptism records. The unmarried children were: Robert, Jan 1879, aged 21, Edgar, Jan 1881, aged 19, Mary, May 1883, aged 17, Anna, Aug 1885, aged 14, Katie, Jul 1888, aged 11 and John, Apr 1892, aged 8. Their son Charley, Nov 1877, aged 22 married Gertrude, Mar 1879, aged 21 born in Tennessee in 1899. Charley and Gertrude had a daughter who also lived with them; Agnes, May 1899, aged 1. Charley was a Machinist. A Black servant also resided with them; John Sliger, 1848, aged 52 and widowed.

Death of Bridget (Hickey) wife of Peter B Henritze married 11 Oct 1877 16 Aug 1852 - 29 Apr 1909 - Mother (see obituary) p. 15. Knoxville Journal & Tribune Friday 30 Apr 1909 Mrs. Bridget Hickey Henritze, died Thursday morning at 11:30 o'clock at the residence of her daughter Mrs Carson Anderson, 1513 Vermont Avenue. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon. The funeral cortege will leave the house at 3 pm and services will be held at the Church of the Immaculate Conception at 3:30 pm. The deceased was a daughter of the late Patrick Hickey and was a devoted and consistent memeber of the Catholic Church and her loss will be deeply felt. p. 154 Peter B Henritze 12 Apr 1855 - 5 Feb 1930 REF: "Rest in Peace.
