    "Moses Cleveland (Moses), b. 1 Sept. 1651 at Woburn, Mass. became res. of E[dgartown] abt. 1680 through his marriage with Ruth Norton (17) which took place 4 Oct. 1676 at Woburn. He served as a soldier in King Philip's War and was Sergeant of the Militia Co. in E[dgartown] 1691. He rem. to Southold, L. I. and d. bef. 30 Oct. 1717. His wife survived. The Cleveland Genealogy, already published, may be consulted for fuller particulars."
