Terwilliger Weds Helen Hall In Church Bridal
Rev. W. Harold Weigle Is Officiating Rector At Ceremony
At a candlelight service at the Church of the Ascension, Miss Helen Elizabeth Hall, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Franklin Hall of 45 Park Avenue, became the bride last evening of Monroe Stoddard Terwilliger of 176 Cottage Avenue, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Terwilliger of Poughkeepsie, N. Y. was performed at 8:30 Rev. W. Harold ceremony, Weigle, rector of historic St. Paul's Church in Eastchester. White dahlias and other white Autumn flowers as well as tall white tapers in candelabra, served as the setting for the wedding. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white faille taffeta gown in basque style, with insets of lovers' knots of embroidered lace.
It was fashioned with a sweetheart neckline, short puffed sleeves with mitts of the material to match, and a long train. The finger-tip veil was fastened with white orchids, and she carried a Colonial bouquet of roses and lilies-of-the-valley Her sister, Mrs. Robert Donald Olmstead of this city, who was her matron of honor and only attendant, wore rose faille taffeta, also in basque style, with insets of white lace edged in rose. She wore a small flower-trimmed hat to match, and carried a Colonial bouquet of roses. Millen Granville Stevens of Newburgh.
N. served as the bridegroom's best man. The ushers were Frank McGinnis of Poughkeepsie, and John S. Hoppock of Maplewood, N. J.
Following the ceremony, a reception for the immediate families was held at the Hall residence, which was decorated with pink and white seasonal flowers. The couple will reside at 531 East Lincoln Avenue when they return from their wedding trip. The bride, a graduate of A. B. Davis High School and of the Pratt School of New York, is a past president of Delta Phi Sorority.
Mr. Terwilliger was graduated from the Poughkeepsie High School, and is associated with the Shell Oil Company in Mount Vernon.
