Bud's obituary reads, "ALBION. MIRWOOD G. "BUD" DUNLAP, 84, of Albion, died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2003, at Provena Sacred Heart Home, Avilla. Born April 8, 1919, in Fort Wayne, he moved to Albion in 1941. He retired from General Electric, Fort Wayne, in 1981. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran; member of Albion American Legion Post 246; Noble County Emergency Management Council; Albion Police Reserve; General Electric Volunteer Fire Dept.; and he volunteered at the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo. He married Dorthey Calhoun, May 10, 1941, in Kendallville; she preceded him in death Sept. 23, 1999. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Doris Guy. Surviving are two sons...; nine granchildren; one great-grandchild; four stepgrandchildren; a brother...; and two sisters... Service is 11 a.m. Friday at Brazzell Funeral Home, Avilla, with visitation from 9:30 a.m. until service time, and also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Burial at Thorn Cemetery in Ormas.
