On 29 Aug 1797 Maturino HEBERT, age 26 and single, "requests dispensation from the third and fourth grades of relationship. Hebert, a native of Pluvalay [Ploubalay] of the See of St. Malo and resident of Valenzuela states that he wishes to marry Maria Burque, a native of Pleurtuis of the same diocese [St. Malo, Ille-et-Vilaine, France] and resident of Valenzuela and asks for a dispensation. He is the son of Pedro Hebert and Susana Pitre daughter of Juan Pitre and Margarita Teriot daughter of Pedro Teriot and Maria Burque daughter of Martin Burque and Maria Potait. From a tender age Maria has been a resident of his own neighborhood and is the daughter of Isabel LeBlanc and Francisco Xavier Burque son of Carlos Burque, son of Martin Burque and Maria Potait, his intended wife's grandparents [really her great-grandparents also] and his own great grandparents. His fiancee is an orphan and poor and living with her [younger] married sister who is poor and also cares for Maria's three small brothers."
