Oswego Palladium-Times, 21 Sep 1934: GRIDLEY-DURGEE Parish, Sept. 21-- Mrs. Flora S. Durgee of this village made announcement Friday of the marriage of her daughter, the former Miss Vera Arlene Durgee, to Marvin D. Gridley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Gridley of Pennellville. The ceremony took place in Syracuse Aug. 21 with the Rev. Leon S. Lacey, former Presbyterian church pastor here, officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Spencer I. Durgee, brother and sister-in-law of the bride, attended the couple. The bride's gown was of pink chiffon and she carried pink rosebuds. A reception followed at Hotel Syracuse, after which Mr. and Mrs. Gridley left on a wedding trip through the New England states. Mrs. Gridley is a graduate of Parish high school and Central City Business School, Syracuse, and is employed as a stenographer by the Teelin Motor Co. here. Mr. Gridley is a well-known and successful farmer in Hastings. The couple are making their home for the present with Mrs. Gridley's mother.
