... On the 13th of November, 1873, he was married to Miss Jennie H. Swinney, and in 1874 went to the Indian territory, with his wife and one child, intending to settle there. He lived there a while, had one child born, and lost both of his children, he concluded to return to Saline county and make it his future home, which he did the following year, and again went to farming. By strict economy and attention to business, he has provided for himself and family a comfortable home. He has now three children living: James, Dennis M. and Marion M.
