Louis and Veronica had two daughters and one son.

When he signed up for the draft, he lived at 2420 Bowser Street in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He signed his name, "Clement Louis Gladieux." He had brown eyes and dark brown hair.

Veronica's obituary reads, "Mrs. Veronica Gladieux, aged 30, died at 6:40 o'clock Monday night at the home of Louis S. Gladieux, 10 miles east of Fort Wayne on the Lincoln highway, of a complication of diseases. Mrs. Gladieux was educated at the Sacred Heart academy. Surviving are her husband, Clem Gladieux; one daughter, Lavon; one son, Donald; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Pepe; one sister, Mrs. B. C. Kell, and two brothers, Isador and William Pepe. She was a member of the St. Louis Catholic church at Besancon. Funeral services will be held at 8:45 o'clock Thursday morning at the home of Louis Gladieux and at 9 o'clock at the St. Louis Catholic church. Burial in St. Vincent's cemetery at Academie."
