After some years " Gerritje Van Benschoten, widow of Johannes Van Voorhees, Jj., married Lewis Du Bois;" whereupon on Feb. 1, 1756, " letters of administration, with will annexed, were granted to Teunis Van Benschoten and Gerrit Du Bois;" as is recorded in the Surrogate's office of New York city. The date of Gerritje's 2d. marriage — this to Lewis Du Bois — is not to be found; nor is any thing further learned regarding her.
