Lawrence and Mary were married by Rev. Allgeier. It was the second marriage for Lawrence and the first for Mary. Mary had two daughters, and Lawrence and Mary had one daughter together. When Lawrence registered for the draft for World War II, he was a farmer in Monroeville, Indiana. Mary's obituary reads, "MRS. MARY C. BOWERS. Services for Mrs. Mary C. Bowers, 85, R. R. 2, New Haven, will be at 9 a.m. Monday in E. Harper & Son Funeral Home and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Louis Catholic Church, Besancon, the Rev. Robert L. Traub officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Bowers died at 11:25 p.m. Thursday in St. Joseph's Hospital where she had been a patient since June 17. She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church. Surviving are her husband, Lawrence M.; two daughters, Margaret Hahn, at whose home she resided, and Mrs. Mary Fracassini, New Haven; two stepsons, Earl Bowers, Payne, Ohio, and Donald Bowers, Monroeville; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today. Rosary services will be at 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home." R. 2, New Haven, died at 3:10 p.m. yesterday in St. Joseph's Hospital where he had been a patient 13 days. He was a member of the St. Louis Catholic Church, Besancon. Surviving are two sons, Earl J. Bowers of Payne, Ohio, and Donald B. of Monroeville; one daughter, Mrs. Mary M. Fracassini, New Haven; one stepdaughter, Miss Margaret Hahn, with whom he made his home; one brother, Leonard W. Bowers, Payne, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Sprague and Mrs. Viola Adamski, both of Payne; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be in the E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, New Haven, at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday and at 10 a.m. at the St. Louis Church, the Rev. Robert L. Traub officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today. The Rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 8:30 p.m. Monday."
