The original record in the first volume appears as follows (difficult to read):
“Kendal Patten and Abigail Kittredg Joyned in marriage.” The births of their children, subsequently listed, are Samuel, Sarah, Hannah, and Mehittabel.

The transcribed record in the second volume appears as follows:
“Kendal Patten and Abigail Kittredge joined in Marriage.”
The bride's given name is likely incorrect in these two registers, and probably only Kendall's first wife was named Abigail. A later register in Tewksbury lists the births of Kendall's children from 1729 onwards with Sarah as the mother. Also in the will of Daniel Kittredge, dated 1741, bequeaths are made to the children of his daughter Sarah Patten.
The children named in the Tewksbury register are Kindal, Elisabeth, Mary, Rebekah, and Kindel. The death of their son Samuel is also specified. See the register of births and deaths, 1738–1852, p. 76 (FHL 771075, DGS 7010701, image 55).
