The place of origiin and surnames suggest a link between Justus Markham Sr. and Elizabeth "Betsy" Markham who marries Calvin Gunn of Pittsfield in 1799. And they do link, but several generations earlier, with Daniel Markham (1671-1760)and Deborah Meacham (1681-1761):
