- ↑ According to Source:Wheeler, Albert Gallatin. Genealogical and Encyclopedic History of the Wheeler Family in America, daughter Martha is the oldest child. She married Edward Broughton, and the birth of their daughter Sarah is recorded 13 Jan 1722/23 (Source:Lancaster, Worcester, Massachusetts, United States. Birth, Marriage and Death Register, Church Records and Epitaphs of Lancaster, Massachusetts, 1643-1850, p. 54). Wheeler estimates Martha's marriage at 1717 but the basis for anything early than 1721 is not known. The mother's, Martha Prescott's, age at death suggests a birth about 1679 or 1680, so an estimated marriage about 1700 makes both women roughly 20 at the time of their respective marriages.
