[Note: no marriage record found, and the basis for this is unexplained and unknown. The daughter of Samuel Davis and Sarah Thayer was born in Boston 11 Sep 1661 and would have been going on 40 at the time of marriage. It is not known why the marriage is presumed to have happened when it did, and how it is known her name is Davis.
