  2. Source:Baldwin, Charles Candee. Baldwin Genealogy, from 1500 to 1881, p. 308, adds a daughter Mary, b. 16 Jan 1711, m. Israel Turner of Killingworth and had daughter Submit b. 1749. There is no birth record in 1711 (it would actually have to be 1711/12 in order not to conflict with Hezekiah in 1710/11) in either the Derby or Killingworth records, so the basis for this birthdate is unknown.
The issue is confused by interchangability of Mary and Marcy, and so the 1714 birth is recorded to Marcy in Derby records and to Mary in Killingworth records according to Barbour (whose transcription wasn't available to Baldwin). However, see the town copy which shows it as Marcy, suggesting the use of Mary was a transcription error by Barbour, and not authentic. Thus there is no mention of either a 1711 birth, or of this daughter Mary, in either Derby or Killingworth records.
The marriage appears incorrect. Isaac Turner (not Israel as stated in Baldwin Genealogy) m. 1749 (not 1758 as stated in Barbour, see Source:Bailey, Frederic W. Early Connecticut Marriages as Found on Ancient Church Records Prior to 1800, Vol. 3, p. 31) and they did have a daughter Submit born 3 months later. Note that Isaac Turner was born 1727/28, so pairing him with a woman born in 1711 is not likely, and there is another Mary Baldwin born in Killingworth in 1731 (daughter of the purported Mary's brother Josiah) who would be 18 in 1749, i.e., of marrying age and a far more likely match for Isaac Turner.
With no marriage and no basis for a birth in 1711, there appears to be no basis for a daughter Mary, and she appears to be fictitious.
