Source:Dudley, Dean. History and Genealogy of the Bangs Family in America, p. 47, includes a daughter Sarah in this family. The only information given about this Sarah is that she m. 26 Jun 1756 Gershom Rogers. However, Source:Willis, William. History of Portland, from 1632 to 1864, p. 850, says that Sarah Waite, d/o John Waite and Sarah Kent, m. (1) Joshua Bangs who d. 1755, m. (2) 1756 Gershom Rogers. Thus, it appears Dudley mistook her remarriage as evidence of another daughter who did not exist.
