  3. Source:Thayer, Bezaleel. Memorial of the Thayer Name, from the Massachusetts Colony of Weymouth and Braintree, Embracing Genealogical and Biographical, p. 467, gives details for this family that are strikingly similar to the records, while being frustratingly discrepant (extra children, missing children, different names, dates off by year or more). Since this same problem has been noticed to occur for several different families, the credibility of this source seems suspect. Thus, it has not been relied on, and some of the children, particularly in this marriage, have not been entered into the family when no supporting records have been found. In particular, this source shows no Tirzah; adds Joseph, Rhoda, and George; and has different dates on some of the others.
