    Joseph Howe … m. by about 1646 Mary Needham, daughter of Edmund Needham (in his will of 10 February 1650[/1], "Joseph How" made bequests to "my wife until the child Elizabeth How of my own body be 18 years of age" and to "my mother How," and named "my father Needom" as one of the overseers, while "Ephraim How" witnessed a codicil to the will [EPR 1:130-31]; in his will, proved 29 June 1677, "Edmund Needham of Lin" included bequests to "my son-in-law's Samuell Hart's children, first to his daughter-in-law born of her first husband Elizabeth How but now by marriage Elizabeth Chadwell" [EPR 3:153]; "Benjamin Chadwell & Elizab[eth] Hawes" were married at Charlestown on 20 December 1666 (ChVR 1:24]).
