No baptismal registrations for either Joseph or Sarah have been found. The two families appear very close together on the 1841 census. No children are listed with the couple between 1851 and 1871, but the 1881 census reports no childless families amongst Joseph Armitgages. There are also no death or burial registrations that firmly link to them.
