Col. Tyng married Sarah, daughter of Hezekiah Usher, who died in 1714.
[This, like many sources, assumes the Sarah who died in 1714 is the same as his first wife Sarah Usher. However, the recorded marriage of Jonathan to Sarah Davee in Boston, 1706, proves there were two consecutive wives named Sarah. The death in 1714 belongs to the second Sarah. Source:Woburn, Middlesex, Massachusetts, United States. Woburn Records of Births, Deaths, and Marriages, Vol. 2, pt. 2, p. 17, makes the same mistake, attributing the gravestone of the second Sarah to Sarah Usher despite including the following comment from Judge Sewall's dairy: "March 4, 1713-14. went to Woburn to attend the funeral of Aunt Tyng, being his second wife."]
