• Proof of the existence of this marriage (or any marriage) for Capt. John Smith is needed.
• Some believe John Smith and "Pocahontas" (i.e. Matoaka Powhatan) were married, but this has been shown to be incorrect. Pocahontas did NOT marry John Smith - she married John Rolfe. See her page for more information.
