As late as 2009 (publication of Vol. 6 of The Great Migration, the identification of this couple with the couple married at Chesham, Bucks, in 1630, has apparently not been proven. However, it seems unlikely that a man from Lewes, Sussex, would be marrying in Chesham, Bucks, at the age of 20, approximately ninety miles away.
