John Osborne married third, by license of 24 July 1622, widow Jane (Hayward) Dale of Freston; in the license John is called "of St. Nicholas',Ipswich." The document has the planned marriage place as Freston, but the event does not appear in that parish; nor is the location listed in Boyd's Suffolk Marriage Index. John and Jane had a daughter Mary, probably the Mary, daughter of John and Mary [sic: error for Jane?] Osborne, baptized at St. Stephen's Ipswich, on 20 March 1624[/5].
