The diary of John Marshall of Braintree notes that on 23 Jun 1697 his "aunt nucum dyed". This matches the death date of Ruth the wife of John Newcomb and investigation of all possible ways she could be an aunt, all may be eliminated except that she is sister of the immigrant John Marshall, the father of the man writing the diary.
