--Vicky 11:49, 13 September 2007 (EDT)John and Susanna Waggoner moved their family to Laural Creek,Mercer County, WV from Giles County, VA (it was part of Montgomery County at one time). Both John Sr, and Susanna are buried at a cemetery northwest of Lauel Creek. John was a farmer by trade. John Sr. grandson,James Martin,came home from from the Civil War sick with a fever. John Sr. caught the fever and died from it. I have not been able to find out what kind of sickness this was and the Death Records for Mercer County, WV during the years of 1860 to 1865 were destroyed from what I have been told. So I have not been able to comfirm this information.
