Daniel & Mary Martin moved their family from Cumberling County, PA to Montgomery County VA around 1798. In Montgomery County they lived near Whitley's Branch of Walker's Creek near Staffordsville. The part of Montgomery County they lived in is now Giles County VA.

I have a copy of Daniel Martin's will that I found at the Pearisburg,VA couthouse in Giles County VA.

I was told the family was from Irland but so far I can not prove that. I can not find where Daniel and Mary were born so maybe they are the Irish connection. The other family researchers of the Martin family went as far as I did to PA. I need help to go back further.
