- ↑ NEHGR, Vol. 5, p. 254, "Genealogical Items Relative to Lynn, Mass." shows a son Nathaniel b. 16 Apr 1672 in this family. As pointed out in Essex Genealogist, Vol. 7, p. 20, "The Lindsey Family Descendants of Christopher Lindsey of Lynn, Massachusetts", no record of this birth is found in Lynn VRs and he is not mentioned in his grandfather's will of 2 Jan 1673, as expected since the other children are. The children born before the date given this Nathaniel are all attributed to Essex County Court returns. The children after this date are found in Lynn town records (p. 74) and Nathaniel is not included in that family listing. The date 19 Apr 1672 would be impossible given with the birth of Eleazer born Feb 1671/72 reported by the published Lynn VRs (12th month of 1671), which the NEHGR article reports as Feb 1671, which would have to mean the 12th month of 1670 to allow for Nathaniel to be born in 1672, but which all signs are, was recorded as 1671. Thus, unless further evidence is forthcoming, it appears Nathaniel is an error by the NEHGR article.
