    Mrs. Eubank, in her letter to me above quoted, says :

    "In John Bickley I recognize the person who married the widow of Charles Ellis, and died in 1793, and was buried at Red Hill. I also identify him as my own maternal grandfather - the line running thus :

    Jane Lasley, my mother, was the daughter of John Lasley and Fanny Bickley.
    Fanny Bickley was the daughter of John Bickley and Mary Hurt." ...

    "JOHN LASLEY was a Methodist Preacher. He married Frances Bickley and they had nine children. There is no record of the birth & death of any except NANCY. Their names follow:

    JOSEPH settled in North Carolina
    WILLIAM settled in Missouri
    MANOAH settled in Missouri
    JOHN IVY settled in Kanawha County, West Virginia
    JAMES died single
    MARY died single
    NANCY, My mother, born June 18th, 1787, died July 12th, 1854. Married JOHN B. ANDERSON, my father.
    SALLIE married Col. WILLIAM CRAWFORD; lived and died in Louisa Co Virginia
    MATILDA married RICHARD LANFORD, lived and died in Louisa County, Virginia."
