A frequently cited work concerning the KENDALL family is The Kendall Family in America, by William Montgomery Clemens, published in Hackensack, NJ in 1919. A searchable digital copy is available (with paid subscription) from ancestry.com; a free version-- in various formats -- is available at The Internet Archive. That book claims that Thomas Kendall and Francis "Miles" Kendall were sons of John Kendall of County Cambridge in England. Unfortunately, it does not cite any specific records to support this claim.
