HARTSE
CARLYLE - Mrs. Hannah Harts, 92, of Carlyle, died Friday in Dahl Memorial Nursing Home in Ekalaka.
She was born April 22, 1882, in Norway, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Olson. She received her education in Norway. In 1899 she came to the United States and lived in Minnesota.
On May 1, 1901, she was married to John Hartse in Hitterdal, Minnesota. They came to Carlyle in 1906, where they homesteaded. Her husband died in 1946.
Mrs. Hartse was a member of the Carlyle Lutheran Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Julia Fisk of Baker, Hazel Cooper of Olympia, Washington, Laura Waarst of Carlyle, and Harriet Boyd of Great Falls; three sons, Ernest of Baker, Clifford of Carlyle, and Harry of Livingston, 21 grandchildren, and 32 great grandchildren.
Services will be at 2:30 pm Monday at the American Lutheran Church in Baker, the Reverand Earl Barnard officiating. Burial will be in Carlyle Cemetery.
Stevenson Funeral Home of Baker is in charge of arrangements.
