Mrs. Mary Green Hanson, wife of John Hanson, a resident of Ontario for the last 27 years and a true pioneer of the West, died last night at their home, 566 West D street, at the age of 85 years. A native of Utica, N. Y., Mrs. Hanson when quite young left the Empire state to make a new home on the Minnesota frontier, at a time when Indian warfare was still common. She came to California 34 years ago. Beside the widower, Mrs. Hanson is survived by two daughters, Mrs. W. Clarry of Ontario and Mrs. Etta Jacobson in Minnesota; and five sons, George Green, Los Angeles; Fred H. Green, San Francisco; Walter Green in Nebraska and Charles and John Green in Minnesota. She was a member of the Temple Baptist church and of the Order of Eastern Star. Funeral services are to be held tomorrow at the chapel of J. B. Draper & Co. followed by cremation In Pomona cemetery.
